Albert W. Hunt Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria

YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF THE FOLLOWING ALONG WITH YOUR APPLICATION:

1. Transcript of grade average of at least C+, 75, or 2.5 throughout High School.
2. Participation in Community Awareness Projects and Extra Curricular Activities. Letter from agencies and/or school.
3. Active in Church and Sunday School. Letter from church.
4. Provide proof of College Acceptance before receiving the Scholarship. (Items 1-3 must be submitted with application for application to be considered. Scholarship will not be awarded until proof of acceptance is submitted.)

On a separate sheet of paper, write an essay entitled: “WHY I WISH TO ATTEND COLLEGE AND WHY I AM APPLYING FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP”.

The essay should express your ambitions, hopes, and aspirations of your future work and life and should be no longer than two pages typewritten but not less than one page. Attach a photo to top of application. NOTE: There should not be anything in the contents of your Essay to identify you (Not your name, church, pastor, parents, etc.). You may identify organizations which you are a member, what you do for those organizations, and how long you have been a member. As the applications are received, they will be numbered. Scholarship winners are chosen without prejudice.

There are three scholarship awards available:

1. $1,250
2. $950
3. $750
